Welcome to The Cellar on Greene!
My name is Ricky Mollohan and I'm the Owner/Creator of Columbia's only Wine Shop by Day, Wine Bar by Night!
We are located at 2001-D Greene Street in Five Points just a few steps away from Mr. Friendly's
and on the side of the Claussen's Inn in Five Points.
So what is The Cellar on Greene? Well, for starters, we are a Wine Shop. But honestly, it's not quite that simple…
We are primarily an "e-wine shop," which is an easy, convenient way to fill all your wine needs! Here's how it works: we send out a weekly email with all of our cool wine discoveries for the week- everything from Bargain bottles to Special high end Closeouts. You reply to the email with your order, we pack it up, and you pick it up at your convenience! Our special "Mystery Cases" are our most popular option- just $99 for a FULL CASE of wine! We pick some, you pick some, and everybody's happy. If you'd like to be added to our email list just shoot us an email at

You can stop in anytime Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-5pm during our "Shop Hours" to pick up a wine order, taste any of our by-the glass wines, or peruse our other selections that we keep in-house. Please check the "By the Glass" and "Wines for Sale" links to see what we have available! We always offer at least 30 wines-by-the-glass at any given time!
So what goes on After 5pm? That's when the fun starts! There are a ton of different ways to eat and drink at Cellar. If "small plates" are what you're after, check out our selection of snacks, pizzas, and other small portions, perfect for sharing! We also offer a nightly $19 Three-Course Menu with entree-sided portions- add a flight of any three wines to your meal for just $10 more! We are open until 10 on weeknights, and 11 on weekends.
Every Tuesday is "Champagne Tuesday!" Enjoy half-priced Bubbly specials- Champagne, Prosecco, Cava, and more! Champagne tasting flights for just $6! Trust us, this is a great way to start your week.
Every Wednesday we feature a Reserve Wine Tasting for only $5!
Every Thursday we feature one of Columbia's best deals...Two Pizzas and a bottle of wine for only $25!
Speaking of Weekends- Join us EVERY OTHER SATURDAY from 12-2 for our Giant Wine Sale and Free Tastings! We have dozens of selections open for you to taste before you buy and steal away for less than closeout prices! This is a perfect way to find new wines you didn't know you liked, as well as old favorites!

Who are we? Where did we come from? Here’s a little bit about "US"...
Me (Ricky Mollohan)...Owner/Creator/Executive Chef...I am also the Owner/Executive Chef of Solstice Kitchen & Wine Bar in Northeast Columbia AND one of the two owners of our neighbor restaurant, Mr. Friendly’s! I’m a graduate of the University of South Carolina. I love food & wine like nothing else. I am married. Have two beagles named JJ and Uma (whom your likely to see during our shop hours) and am super-pumped about this venture!
My wife… Mrs. Erica Tyner Mollohan… I couldn’t have done this without her! She is my top “consultant”, she is my interior designer, she is a great taster of Wines, (especially while in the bath) and more than anything else, she is the love of my life.
Who else is a part of this? Kaitlin Ohlinger... you'll likely see Kaitlin running around the restuarant most nights, bringing you extra tastes of this wine or that wine, and making sure you're drinking and eating the best wine and food in Columbia. You can check in on some of her fun choices at
